A 25-year-old woman, Hannah Pettey, faced a life-threatening situation when she was rushed to the hospital after experiencing severe health issues. Despite initially unnoticed symptoms, her condition deteriorated rapidly, leading to her being placed in an induced coma for further investigation.

Doctors discovered an alarming amount of lead in Hannah’s body, a situation so critical that they believed she had only hours to live. Further examination revealed that the lead levels were dangerously high, indicating intentional poisoning rather than accidental exposure.

Subsequent police investigations uncovered a shocking revelation: Hannah’s husband, Brian Mann, had been deliberately poisoning her. Mann’s deceptive actions included tampering with vitamins given to Hannah, which ultimately led to her severe health crisis.

After surviving the poisoning attempt, Hannah decided to pursue a divorce from Mann, who had taken out substantial life insurance policies on her without her knowledge. These policies were discovered to amount to around £3 million in potential payouts in the event of her death.

Mann was ultimately found guilty of attempted murder and sentenced to life in prison. Despite the conviction, he maintains his innocence and accuses Hannah’s mother, Nicole, of poisoning her instead. However, both women vehemently deny these accusations.

The case shed light on a disturbing betrayal and manipulation, underscoring the importance of vigilance and seeking justice in cases of domestic harm and deceit.
