The incident occurred at the Malmaison Hotel on William Jessop Way in Liverpool around 2:55 pm on Friday, January 16. The man, believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police. Initial inquiries suggest that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Following the occurrence, a guest at the hotel mentioned difficulty accessing their room on a specific floor due to the incident, while a significant police presence was observed at the venue with four vehicles present on Friday night. A spokesperson from Merseyside Police confirmed the incident, stating that emergency services responded to the unexpected death of a man in Liverpool city center. The man in his 40s was found deceased at the hotel, and investigations are ongoing with no immediate suspicion of foul play.
