Budget airline easyJet has seen great success with its new luxury holiday division, where a single trip can cost up to £100,000. This offshoot allows travelers to opt for no-frills flights and instead splurge on high-end accommodations.

Garry Wilson, the head of easyJet Holidays, reported a significant increase in high-end bookings, with an average cost of £3,000, compared to the typical £800 for other package deals. The most expensive booking to date was £97,000 for a group of 13 individuals.

Launched in October last year, the Luxury Collection by EasyJet Holidays offers five-star vacations tailored for those seeking ultra-luxury experiences. With over 100 top-rated hotels, customers can expect premium amenities and services, including a 26kg luggage allowance, dedicated bag drop, fast-track security, priority boarding, and advanced seat selection for a seamless airport journey.

Notably, luxury travelers with EasyJet Holidays enjoy private transfers from the airport to their accommodations, enhancing their overall experience. Since its inception in 2019, EasyJet Holidays has rapidly grown to serve three million customers annually, capturing 10% of the market share.

Mr. Wilson emphasized that the luxury arm of the airline has been well-received by customers, providing exceptional value with top-tier hotel stays. The offering, currently exclusive to UK customers, will expand to European markets in the coming year.
