Durham Constabulary is actively searching for a teenager as part of a murder investigation following a fatal incident at a petrol station. The authorities have identified Ashton Anderson, 19, as a person of interest in connection with the incident that occurred at a petrol station on Stockton Road, Seaham, around 4:50 pm on January 15.

Tragically, a man in his 20s lost his life at the scene due to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Durham Constabulary has initiated a murder inquiry, leading to the arrest of seven individuals thus far.

Law enforcement has issued an appeal to locate Anderson, described as approximately 5ft 10in tall, slim, with short brown hair. Authorities have cautioned that aiding a suspect will result in severe consequences, and an increased police presence will be maintained in the vicinity.

DCI Chris Woollett expressed gratitude to the Seaham community for their cooperation during the investigation. While emphasizing that there is no apparent wider threat to the public, Woollett warned that individuals found assisting or hiding suspects will face stringent action. Anyone with relevant information or footage related to the incident is urged to contact Durham Police promptly.
