Tommy Fleetwood has expressed his approval of Brooks Koepka’s comeback to the PGA Tour while mentioning that LIV Golf has not approached him during the postseason. Koepka recently left the Saudi-supported tour and swiftly rejoined the PGA Tour, with his first appearance scheduled for the Farmers Insurance Open next week, providing a significant boost to the tour.

With Koepka’s return, LIV Golf faces the challenge of retaining its other top talents, as Patrick Reed hinted at the possibility of also returning to the PGA Tour. Fleetwood, currently ranked No.3 globally, praised the PGA Tour for offering exceptional events and substantial prize money, emphasizing his gratitude for being able to compete at such prestigious tournaments.

Reflecting on his aspirations, Fleetwood expressed his belief in setting goals and dreams, highlighting the importance of aligning one’s ambitions with their playing environment. Acknowledging Koepka’s decision to prioritize playing where he can excel, Fleetwood emphasized the positive impact of Koepka’s return on the PGA Tour.

LIV Golf, supported by Newcastle’s Public Investment Fund, made substantial investments in earlier seasons, with Koepka receiving a lucrative contract and Jon Rahm signing a significant deal. This year, the signings have been less high-profile, with new additions like Victor Perez, Laurie Canter, and others, including wildcard entry Anthony Kim.

Despite his rising value in recent years, Fleetwood noted that LIV Golf had not approached him during the current postseason. He acknowledged the shift in the golf landscape with notable players opting for LIV Golf and speculated on the financial implications of attracting top talent to the league.

Fleetwood’s Ryder Cup colleague Shane Lowry shared his positive outlook on Koepka’s return, emphasizing the benefits for both Koepka and the PGA Tour. Lowry also reflected on his recent performance at the Dubai Invitational, expressing his determination to move past a disappointing finish.

As golf enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the upcoming tournaments, the return of Koepka to the PGA Tour has stirred excitement and speculation about the evolving dynamics within the golfing world.
