The incident involved a suspicious package that was delivered to the reception of a residential building in the city. The explosion resulted in the man and two building staff members being hit by smoke and flames as the force of the blast scattered items from the front desk across the reception area. Emergency services quickly responded to the scene in Zeytinburnu on January 11, where the injured staff members were treated before being transported to a nearby hospital.
