Starbucks enthusiasts in the UK are buzzing with excitement as the coffee chain introduces a new item, the Bearista coffee cup, which previously gained popularity in the US. While some customers have successfully purchased the collectible cup, others have faced disappointment due to limited availability. However, the main concern for many buyers is the steep price tag attached to the item.

One disgruntled shopper took to Instagram to express frustration after paying £27.95 in-store, noting that some individuals are reselling the cups online at exorbitant prices. The issue of scarcity was further highlighted when one user mentioned that their local store had only two cups, both of which were bought by staff members. Another commenter criticized the cup, stating that it wasn’t appealing enough to justify queuing up early in the morning.

Online listings on eBay show a wide range of prices for the Bearista cups, from £78 to £146, with some listings offering lower prices for used cups. Starbucks promoted the cup on Instagram, announcing limited availability and a one-cup per customer policy.

The announcement drew a mix of responses from potential buyers and disappointed fans on social media. While some expressed frustration at the high demand and limited supply, others shared their excitement at acquiring the Bearista cup. Despite varying opinions, the consensus remains that the premium price of £27.95 for a single cup is considered excessive by many.

In addition to their food and beverage offerings, Starbucks also features a range of merchandise, including mugs, travel cups, bottles, notebooks, keyrings, and caps. The company has not yet provided a statement regarding the situation.
