Emergency services responded to a report of a man found deceased at a hotel in Liverpool city center. The incident occurred at the Malmaison Hotel on William Jessop Way around 2.55pm on Friday, January 16.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police. No foul play is currently suspected as investigations are ongoing.

Police presence was visible at the hotel, with four patrol cars and two ambulances stationed outside. A hotel guest mentioned being restricted from accessing their room on a specific floor due to the incident.

Staff at the Malmaison Hotel declined to provide comments, referring to the active police investigation. A spokesperson from Merseyside Police confirmed the unexpected death of the man in Liverpool city center, emphasizing that there are no immediate suspicious circumstances.
