Two teenagers were shot and killed outside a bus stop in Seattle, with the perpetrator still on the run. The tragic incident occurred just before 4 pm on Friday, January 30, near Rainier Avenue South and South Henderson Street. Upon arrival, the police discovered the two victims suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.

Efforts were made to provide emergency medical aid to the victims until the Seattle Fire Department took over, but both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Seattle Police Department confirmed that they are investigating the incident as a double homicide.

After the shooting, the suspect fled the area before law enforcement arrived. Despite an extensive search by officers and deputies, the suspect remains at large. The police secured the crime scene until homicide detectives and the Crime Scene Investigation Unit arrived for further processing. The King County Medical Examiner will handle the deceased victims and their identification.

The circumstances leading to the shooting are currently under investigation. Authorities have urged anyone with information to contact the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000, with anonymous tips welcomed.

In a communication to families, Seattle Public Schools disclosed that the victims were believed to be students within the district. SPS Superintendent Fred Podesta expressed deep condolences to the families and friends of the victims, lamenting the unfortunate frequency of such tragedies in the community.
