Apple has had a bustling week with a series of product launches, including the iPhone 17e, upgraded iPad Air, and new MacBook Pro models featuring the latest M5 processors. Now, the company has unveiled the much-anticipated MacBook Neo, a budget-friendly laptop with a colorful design and a high-resolution 13-inch screen priced at £599.
Compared to the latest MacBook Air, the MacBook Neo comes at a significantly lower price point, costing £500 less. Powered by Apple’s A18 Pro-series smartphone processor, this laptop may not match the speed of M-powered PCs but is fully capable of meeting everyday digital requirements, running macOS and supporting popular applications like Microsoft Word, Pages, and iMovie.
With over 15 hours of battery life, the MacBook Neo is highly efficient. It features two USB-C ports but lacks MagSafe charging. Additional highlights include a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, Touch ID fingerprint scanner, dual side-firing speakers with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support, a Magic Keyboard, and Multi-Touch trackpad, all available in colors such as Silver, Indigo, Blush, and Citrus.
Pre-orders for the MacBook Neo are now open, with the product set to hit stores next week. Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, John Ternus, expressed excitement about the launch, emphasizing the affordability and unique features of the MacBook Neo, which combines durability, performance, and user-friendly design in a sleek package.
