The body of a young boy who went missing on New Year’s Eve has been discovered with his faithful dog at his side. The boy, known as Johnathan Boley or John John, vanished while playing in his father’s backyard with his younger brother and their dog, Buck.

He was last seen dressed in a yellow Mickey Mouse shirt, black pants, and Paw Patrol shoes. According to the police, Johnathan and his brother were playing near the fence line with the dog before the dog and Johnathan crossed over the fence.

The disappearance in Walker County, Alabama, prompted an extensive search spanning 500 acres and involving 160 volunteers and 126 first responders. Unfortunately, the boy was found deceased on 2 January, partially in a creek, guided by his dog to the search team. The authorities mentioned that there were no signs of physical harm or assault.

A preliminary autopsy conducted by the Walker County Coroner revealed that Boley passed away due to hypothermia, with no immediate evidence of foul play reported. Johnathan and his brother were visiting their father, Jameson Kyle Boley, as part of their scheduled visitation days for the year.

Upon searching for the missing child, explosives were allegedly discovered in the residence, leading to a temporary halt in the search for safety reasons. It was later determined that the devices were not explosive. Boley, aged 40, is facing charges unrelated to the disappearance, including unlawful manufacturing of destructive devices. Authorities noted the potential exposure of the children to methamphetamines despite the devices being non-explosive.

The brothers had traveled from Florida to Alabama to visit their father, with plans to return to their mother, Angel, on 1 January.

In a separate incident, a body was found during the search for a missing 14-year-old boy in Co Meath, Ireland, last month. Benjamin Spot was reported missing on November 19 and was last seen cycling from Market Square in Navan towards the Kentstown Road/Ramparts area.

Tragically, Gardai confirmed the discovery of a body in Co Meath, leading to the conclusion of the missing persons appeal for Benjamin Spot. The authorities expressed gratitude for the media’s support and stated that no further action was needed at that time.
