Scottie Scheffler has now entered the elite $100 million club, joining golf legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, following a commanding victory at The American Express to kick off his season. As the current world No.1, Scheffler has sent a clear message to the reigning Masters champion that he is the player to beat in the upcoming Majors this year.

Last year, Scheffler faced an unfortunate setback when he injured his hand during the holiday season. However, he has come back strong in 2026, finishing with a remarkable six-under 66 in California to secure a four-shot win, marking his 20th victory on the PGA Tour in just the past four years.

With his latest triumph, Scheffler’s on-course earnings have soared to $101,109,136, making him the third player, alongside Woods and McIlroy, to surpass the nine-figure mark on the PGA Tour. At 29 years old, Scheffler has also joined the ranks of Woods and Jack Nicklaus as the only players to achieve 20 PGA Tour titles and four majors before turning 30.

Reflecting on his success, Scheffler humbly remarked, “It’s been a great start to my career. It’s been special. I try not to think about that stuff too much. I was just trying to do the things I needed to do to be prepared.” Since claiming his first win at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open, Scheffler has now accumulated 11 more wins than McIlroy, with this victory being his seventh in the last 13 stroke-play events.

Jason Day, the joint runner-up and former world No.1, praised Scheffler’s consistency, comparing his performance to that of golf legend Tiger Woods. Looking ahead, Scheffler remains focused on further improvement, indicating that he believes he can elevate his game even more after a slow start last season.

Additionally, young golfer Blades Brown, 18, had a notable performance during the tournament, playing in the final group and finishing tied for 18th. Brown expressed awe at playing alongside Scheffler and witnessing his victory, emphasizing the surreal experience of being in contention with a top-tier player like Scheffler.

As Scheffler continues to make waves in the golf world, his competitors are taking notice of his remarkable talent and unwavering drive for success.
