Elon Musk is scheduled to deliver a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos today, as confirmed by an announcement. The event will feature a discussion between Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, Chief Engineer of SpaceX, CTO of xAI, and Laurence D. Fink, the Chair and CEO of BlackRock, who is also serving as the Interim Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum.

This appearance follows a recent public disagreement between Elon Musk and Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary. The conflict arose when Musk expressed interest in acquiring Ryanair after a dispute over the installation of Musk’s Starlink internet on the airline’s aircraft. Musk conducted a poll on his social media platform X, asking followers if he should purchase Ryanair and “restore Ryan as their rightful ruler.”

The dispute escalated with O’Leary labeling Musk as “an idiot” over the disagreement on implementing the Starlink satellite internet system on Ryanair planes. In response to questions about the online confrontation and the state of his X platform, O’Leary criticized social media as a “cesspit” and called for governments to remove anonymity, citing various issues such as inappropriate content and threats.

While Musk’s address at Davos coincides with a recent speech by former US President Donald Trump at the World Economic Forum, where Trump made remarks about Greenland’s strategic importance without intending to use force for its acquisition. Trump emphasized the significance of Greenland for national and international security, stating that negotiations for the territory’s acquisition are being pursued without resorting to military action.

As the world anticipates Musk’s insights at Davos, the global stage remains abuzz with discussions on technology, business, and geopolitics.
