Time is running out for many households to claim £100 worth of supermarket vouchers.

The Nottingham City Council is offering these vouchers through the Household Support Fund, with the deadline for applications set at midnight.

While specific eligibility criteria have not been disclosed by the council, it is expected that the vouchers will be allocated to individuals with low incomes or those receiving benefits. Applications can be submitted on the Nottingham City Council website.

Applicants can anticipate receiving a response via email by December 12, but the actual distribution of vouchers may extend until February 28, 2026.

The council plans to randomly distribute 10,000 vouchers to successful households, irrespective of the order of application. Even those who previously received a voucher from the council in April 2025 are eligible to apply.

This funding aims to alleviate the financial strain faced by households due to rising living costs over recent years, particularly during the period of heightened expenses at year-end.

For households still experiencing financial difficulties, the council’s website offers extensive advice and support options, including information on other assistance programs and organizations available.
