Four fortunate individuals who recently purchased Premium Bonds in December have each won £100,000 prizes. These winning bonds were eligible for the February 2026 draw onwards, requiring ownership for a full month to qualify. Among the winners, one individual bought a £50 bond in December 2025.
The winners are located in different regions, with one residing in Essex holding a total of £19,150 in Premium Bonds. Another winner from Brighton and Hove possesses £38,025 in Premium Bonds, with their winning bond valued at £13,000. The remaining two £100,000 winners each have £50,000 in Premium Bonds, residing in Cheshire and Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, respectively.
In each monthly draw, two £1 million Premium Bond prizes are awarded. Notably, one of the February 2026 £1 million winners is from Liverpool, while the other winner hails from Central Bedfordshire.
Premium Bonds, a savings product by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), offer a unique prize draw system instead of a fixed interest rate. The prizes range from £25 to £1 million, with higher odds for smaller prizes compared to the larger sums. Each bond number corresponds to every £1 invested, with odds of winning at 22,000 to 1 per £1 bond.
If awarded a prize, recipients receive notifications from NS&I via email or text message. Winners can opt to have their prize money deposited into their bank account or reinvested into Premium Bonds. There are online tools available, such as the NS&I online prize checker and the Premium Bonds prize checker app, to verify if a prize has been won.
The current prize fund rate for Premium Bonds, akin to an interest rate, stands at 3.60% since the August 2025 draw. Recent data unveiled the luckiest regions for winning Premium Bond prizes, with Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and Essex topping the list in 2025. Additionally, notable £100,000 prizes were won in Outer London, Norwich, and Cumbria.
