After nearly a decade on the run, a man accused of murdering a young woman has been apprehended by authorities. Alejandro Rosales Castillo, who had been on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list since 2017, was captured in Mexico and is facing charges of first-degree murder for the death of his former co-worker, Truc Quan ‘Sandy’ Ly Le.

Authorities revealed that Castillo allegedly owed Le $1,000 and had arranged to meet her at a gas station to repay the debt. However, Le disappeared, and her car was later found at a bus station in Arizona. Instead of repaying her, it is claimed that Castillo forced Le to withdraw money from an ATM before taking her to a wooded area where she was fatally shot.

Le’s body was discovered in a wooded area shortly after her disappearance. Surveillance footage showed Castillo crossing the border into Mexico the day before the grim discovery. The FBI successfully captured Castillo in Mexico City, marking a significant breakthrough in the case that has haunted the region for years.

FBI Director Kash Patel expressed satisfaction with the arrest, attributing it to the unwavering dedication of law enforcement agencies. The arrest was a collaborative effort involving the FBI, local and federal partners, and authorities in Mexico, bringing hope for justice for Le’s family.

In a separate development, two other suspects were charged in connection with Le’s murder in 2017. Castillo’s former girlfriend, Ahmia Feaster, who fled with him in the victim’s car, was charged with felony accessory after the fact and felony larceny of a motor vehicle. Additionally, Felipe Ulloa faced charges of accessory after the fact of murder related to Le’s death.

The arrest of Castillo has been met with relief and praise from officials and the community, signaling a step towards closure for the family of the victim and a long-awaited resolution to a tragic case.
