Hollywood star Mickey Rourke has made bold claims about his life in showbiz – in particular his relationships. The veteran actor, 72, made headlines for all the wrong reasons following his disastrous Celebrity Big Brother entrance on Monday.
He was told to “stop looking at me” by host AJ Odudu as viewers blasted his “creepy” behaviour on launch night. But prior to entering the famous house, he opened up on his “lothario” status in showbiz.
The star of films such as 9½ Weeks and The Wrestler was romantically linked to stars such as Kim Basinger, Debra Feuer and Anastassija Makarenko. However, he now says he leads an “isolated life”.
It didn’t stop him opening up on his past, though. Speaking to The Sun he bluntly described his dating life, including his two failed marriages. Mickey said: “Every place I go into, somebody will come over with a drink going, ‘Did you f*** her? [Kim Basinger]’ Or ‘I got laid because of you and watching that movie.’
“It’s just nobody’s f***ing business ? but I would have liked to.”
He added of his two marriages, to Carre Otis and Debra Feuer: “I chose poorly each time because I chose beauty over substance. Beauty can camouflage evil, trust, honourable intentions.
“I’m super-particular, so I’ll go out to a bar and put my good s*** on and wait for Mrs World to come in. She never comes in, so f*** it.”
Mickey was the last contestant to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house on launch night. However, he was quickly criticised for his behaviour before AJ Odudu had to usher him into the property.
As he was introduced to the cameras, the actor appeared to stare at the host before grabbing onto her. As he prolonged his entrance, trying to give the live audience high-fives, he needed to be pushed into the house by AJ. However, he tried to take her in there with him.
His actions even led to the host telling him “stop looking at me” as he looked intently at her in her nude catsuit. Fans were left incensed and took to social media to vent their fury.
One user on Twitter/X said: “I put money on Mickey Rourke getting kicked out within the next few days. How he treated AJ was totally unacceptable.” Another added: “I feel bad for AJ with the way Mickey Rourke kept pulling out her.”
In one of his first moments within the house, Mickey left fans gobsmacked after choosing to grant one housemate immunity rather than taking it himself. After producers immediately introduced a twist with Big Brother’s Super Secret Very Hush Hush Game Show, the actor was called to Big Brother’s Big Prize Room.
There, he was told he has 2400 points to spend on whatever his heart desires. Mickey chose the smoothie maker for Daley and Big Brother’s Tasty Takeaway Pass for Chris Hughes. However, after being granted three powers to choose from, he opted to save a fellow housemate from eviction.
Despite not revealing his pick, fans think he chose to save JoJo Siwa.
