In 2025, a myriad of events has unfolded, captured through the lenses of photographers. From notable instances like Donald Trump’s enthusiastic celebration with Chelsea players to Dame Andrea Jenkyns’ dazzling presence at Reform’s conference, the past year has been eventful and peculiar.

Here, we highlight some of the captivating moments through quirky photographs from the previous 12 months. Notable incidents include the US President accidentally dropping files at the G7 summit in June, where the Prime Minister stooped to assist in picking them up.

Another memorable snapshot features Kemi Badenoch visiting Carver Barracks in Essex, evoking a sense of nervousness in a soldier captured in the image. At the Tory Conference, Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick was seen passionately discussing judicial matters.

Dame Andrea Jenkyns made a striking entrance at Reform UK’s conference, clad in a glittering jumpsuit and performing her own song, ‘Insomniac.’ Additionally, Cabinet members Wes Streeting and Lisa Nandy, accompanied by former Labour MP Jonathan Ashworth, displayed their vocal talents at The Mirror’s renowned party during Labour’s conference in Liverpool.

Notably, there were vacant seats during significant speeches at the Tory conference. Flash-in-the-pan PM Liz Truss appeared in a video alongside bare-knuckle fighter Dougie Joyce, promoting his whiskey brand.

In a moment of joy, former Reform MP Rupert Lowe was reunited with his confiscated gun collection in August, following allegations of threats made against Zia Yusuf, which he denied. The Westminster Dog of the Year show remains a favorite on the Parliamentary calendar, with MPs showcasing their pets for the top prize.

A comical incident involved Boris Johnson being bitten by an ostrich during a family outing, prompting a colorful response from the former PM. Nigel Farage’s party welcomed former Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries, strengthening their ranks after her resignation from Parliament.

Despite a less vibrant Tory conference, Kemi Badenoch brought some cheer by belting out ‘Sweet Caroline’ at the bar. In August, David Lammy and US Vice President JD Vance shared a friendly moment at Chevening House in Kent, although it was later revealed that Lammy needed a fishing license for their fishing expedition.

The year also witnessed peculiar behavior from Donald Trump, celebrating with Chelsea players as they clinched the club World Cup. The decision to grant Trump a second state visit faced opposition, evident in protests during his arrival in London. Lastly, the PM issued an apology to a headteacher for inadvertently encouraging primary school children to partake in the viral 6-7 dance craze.
