President Donald Trump has issued a strong caution to Iran, asserting that his administration is closely monitoring the situation and has dispatched a naval fleet to the Middle East in response to ongoing protests.
During his return on Air Force One from a significant speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, the US President emphasized the vigilance towards Iran, mentioning the deployment of military vessels to the region.
Trump stated, “We are closely observing Iran with a substantial flotilla heading in that direction. While hoping for a peaceful outcome, we are prepared and keeping a watchful eye on the developments.”
The United States has directed US F-15 Strike Eagles stationed in Jordan, along with the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, towards Iran from the South China Sea. This naval force is equipped with F-35 stealth fighters and destroyers as part of a broader military buildup.
Suggesting possible strikes on Tehran, Trump commented, “There’s a chance we might have to take action, but hopefully it won’t be necessary.” He also indicated that he personally intervened to prevent the execution of 837 protesters in Iran.
In response to Iran’s actions, Trump criticized their methods as outdated and warned of severe consequences if they continued. He highlighted the potential use of additional B-2 bombers for future missions, emphasizing their effectiveness and precision.
Recent developments in the Persian Gulf have heightened tensions, with the US strategically positioning military assets in the region. Trump expressed concern over the situation, mentioning the indiscriminate violence towards civilians and the readiness of additional military resources if needed.
The President’s remarks come after previous airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities using B-2 bombers, which reportedly caused significant damage to Iran’s nuclear program. Intelligence reports confirmed the accuracy and impact of the bombings, emphasizing their destructive capabilities.
