A tragic car crash in Bolton claimed the lives of four individuals, including Mohammed Jibrael Mukhtar, 18, and his friends Farhan Patel, 18, and Mohammed Danyaal, 19. The collision involved Mukhtar’s Seat Leon and a Citroen C4 Picasso taxi, resulting in the deaths of all occupants, including taxi driver Masrob Ali, 54.
Mukhtar’s older brother, Miraj, expressed his concerns about his driving habits in a final message exchange on TikTok, advising him to drive more cautiously. The exchange revealed Miraj’s plea for Mukhtar to avoid reckless driving, highlighting the dangers of speeding and potential consequences.
Described as someone who enjoyed driving at high speeds, Mukhtar had previously been involved in a car accident where his vehicle overturned. Despite warnings from family and friends, Mukhtar continued to showcase his modified car on social media, emphasizing its performance enhancements.
Investigations into the fatal crash include a video showing a car exceeding 120 mph on a busy street, potentially linked to the incident. Family and friends mourned the loss of the victims, with tributes pouring in on social media and at their funeral in Bolton.
Efforts to support the memory of the deceased were made, with fundraising initiatives launched in Danyaal’s honor. Five passengers from both vehicles involved in the crash remain hospitalized, with one woman sustaining life-threatening injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragedy, urging individuals with relevant information or footage to come forward. Detective Inspector Andrew Page emphasized the sensitivity of sharing content on social media and the impact on affected families, encouraging cooperation with the ongoing investigation.
