David Potts has revealed there was one moment from last year’s series that was cut from Celebrity Big Brother when the house descended into chaos. The Ibiza Weekender star, who won the revamped 2024 series, admitted he re-watched the series after his exit to find the moment but was gutted it didn’t air.

He confessed his screaming and laughing may have been the reason the clip never made it onto the programme. David recalled the moment came when the housemates had to do face to face nominations.

“I specifically looked for this moment when I got out of the house because it really made me laugh at the time,” he told us. The reality TV star revealed it came when Marisha Wallace nominated Ekin-Su CülcüloÄŸlu for eviction that resulted in a “back and forth”.

Despite it not being an argument, one housemate became worked up by the drama they even called upon Big Brother for help. David said: “Nikita [Kuzmin], bless him, got so worked up by the situation that he was talking into his mic saying ‘Big Brother, you need to come and take control of this situation, it’s too much’.”

David added: “It made me laugh so much because he was really panicking, whereas for me it was just something I found so minor because I’d done Ibiza Weekender and other reality shows where people are literally screaming at each other and proper arguing.

“But Ekin and Marisha were just having a heated discussion, and Nikita was panicking so much.” He added to the Mirror and Casino.org: “But they probably didn’t use it because I was screaming and laughing so much that it didn’t make the edit!”

David was actually surprised by the lack of arguments on his series as he expected more drama to unfold. He admitted: “After watching Big Brother back in the day, when there were plenty of heated arguments and tense moments, I expected it to be the same.

“I’m not a confrontational person, but if someone came at me, I’d absolutely stand my ground—I wouldn’t back down if they were being rude or mean.”

David added: “But honestly, I was so surprised that it wasn’t like that at all. The whole vibe was about having fun, taking on challenges, and just laughing together.

“The atmosphere was amazing, and that was all down to the housemates I was in there with. It was just pure fun, and that’s exactly what I’m about.”

There was the usual talking behind each others backs during the last series of Celebrity Big Brother, however. Yet David was not fussed on hearing what his housemates had to say about him.

“When I got out of the house, I just wanted to find some funny moments—I wasn’t looking to watch the whole show,” he confessed. “I was never involved in those situations, and I never heard any of it firsthand. At the end of the day, people love a bit of gossip, but I don’t think anything was said that was truly bad.

“There was never anything seriously malicious going on behind someone’s back. The face-to-face nominations brought a lot into the open, but that was all done openly with everyone standing right there.”

He continued: “At the end of the day, it’s a fun show, and we all love a bit of drama. It’s really not that deep—it’s entertainment! No one has come out of it hating each other.

“People talking behind each other’s backs was probably the smallest thing that happened in there. Everything else was so much more positive and meaningful.”
