Saucy Sabrina Carpenter has once again come under fire after another racy stage show, this time in Stockholm.

The pop princess is heading around Europe as part of her Short N’ Sweet Tour and not for the first time has had to deal with complaints over her x-rated act.

The Espresso singer has been performing in Manchester, Paris, Berlin, Brussels, Amsterdam, Milan, Zurich and Copenhagen but some say she went too far in the Swedish capital.

A number of fans took issue with the provocative display, which saw her act out a number of different sex positions while belting out spicy hit Juno – before asking fans if they had ‘tried this one’.

Some were concerned with a number of children in the crowd desperate to see her live but Sabrina was defended by others who responded to the remonstrations.

The star, who was also criticised for her antics in London, wowed the audience but some say she is going too far. Taking to X, one fan said: “I don’t care if this a woman being confident w her sexuality to you or her just having fun… this is just gross and not necessary.” Another said: “I’m sorry but there are little kids in the audience and this is taking it way too far.”

The grumbles didn’t stop there and a third person said: “There are little kids in the audience and this is taking it way too far.” Coming to her defence, one social media used wrote: “Her music is not for children and if you as a parent don’t monitor what your kids are listening to that’s your fault..”

There was booing at her Manchester gig last month – but that wasn’t down to her. The incident happened as Sabrina spoke to the crowd saying: “I truly feel like sometimes I’m going to find the one in this crowd,” she then put the camera on a male fan in the audience, as she told him: “I think it’s going to be you tonight, baby.”

She asked him: “What’s your name gorgeous?,” as he told her it was Cal. She then asked where he was from, as Cal said he hailed from Liverpool. Despite many people in the crowd cheering for him, others started to boo at the fact he wasn’t from Manchester as Cal exclaimed, “Oh no,” with a shocked expression on his face.

Scalding the audience, Sabrina said: “Guys, I’m not from here, so I don’t know what that’s about, but we’re not booing Cal.” She then told him: “I’m gonna marry you, is that cool?,” as she included him in a fun segment of her show.

The moment was shared by one fan at the show, who posted a video saying: “Lots of boo’ing tonight in Manchester #ManchesterShortnSweet.” The post has since gone viral, racking up 1million views. Many others were shocked at the booing too, as one person asked: “What a show but what’s with the reaction?”

Others also praised Sabrina for how she defended Cal, as one person wrote: “I love how she stood up for him.” Another added: “Sabrina’s reaction to the booing was priceless! She handled it like a true queen, standing up for him with grace and humour.” A third chimed in: “I love that she stood up for him, amazing.”

The moment comes after Sabrina recently told fans she’s been feeling under the weather after performing in the UK. She shared a makeup-free selfie online, telling fans: “I am sick like a dog.”
