A new futuristic land which will be entirely independent of other countries and complete with latest technology is being planned in an amazing £393million project.

Dryden Brown, 29, from California, is a pioneer behind the idea for the new city which will be called Praxis. His aim is for it to be self-governing and claims that he is in the process of making this a reality as he is in advanced talks over a location.

His project does appear idealistic with stunning buildings and he aims to have people living there who are driven and motivated to succeed. At the same time the city will give them the technology for them to thrive on whether it be in transport or high speed internet.

There is a libertarian sense to the $500 million project with deregulation a key element. “We want to deregulate technology,” reportedly said Mr Brown. “Praxians are far more intentional about finding projects that have deep meaning for them and are consistent with their values.”

On the city he told the New York Post: “The city will be incredibly beautiful. The architecture will be a fusion of classical aesthetics. We’re working on a fusion of gothic elements and space-age futurism. The architecture is going to be something you’ve never seen before.”

And so far he has been successful in bringing investment into the plan with one of them indirectly being Peter Thiel who has put money into Pronomos Capital which in turn has invested in Praxis.

What appears to be attracting investors is its futuristic element which is looking forward to a time when people will no longer need to work thanks to the further development of artificial intelligence and robots.

“If AI and robotics come along, then we don’t need huge workforces,” Sam Hammond, chief economist at the Foundation for American Innovation, told The Post, speculating on Praxis. “We could have a modernized city with fully self-driving cars and robot cops. It would be the high-tech version of a new world where you could start from scratch.”

And Mr Hammond is imagining a time when even food could just be printed out using 3D printers, while a bonus to the new city would be: “You get to adopt and integrate new technologies before anyone else in the world.”

And Brown said: “Maybe in the future, people don’t work anymore and AI does all the work. We want the city to be designed for a post-work future; we want the city to be able to absorb a new kind of social dynamic. Like, we’re going to find the most talented artists in the world and give them grants and bring them to Praxis.”

But Brown also imagines that at the start, maybe in 2026 it will be a lot more basic with those there at the start being “pioneers” who are putting the foundations in place for the new city.
