Rise of drug gangster’s moll – before clairvoyant ended reign

A cocaine drug mobster’s moll rose in the criminal underworld but her success was sensationally obliterated by a clairvoyant. Coleen Campbell, despite previously being involved in Manchester’ s criminal world, became a gang figurehead after she married her husband Thomas Campbell in 2011.

The couple had splashed out more than £100,000 on holidays, cars and their home, despite their only legal form of income being Coleen’s part-time job at Matalan and benefits. Her luxury life of organised crime started to fall apart after July 2, 2022, when she orchestrated her ex’s murder – but her crimes were only exposed after a trip to the psychic.

The couple’s first run in with the law came in 2019 when they both pleaded guilty to money laundering at Manchester Crown Court – Thomas was jailed for two years and Coleen was handed a 16-month prison sentence, which was suspended for two years.

Their relationship survived this hurdle but Coleen later furiously broke things off with Thomas after she accused him of cheating on her with a friend. Thomas – known for being a major drug dealer – disappeared in 2022 and was later found brutally murdered.

His criminal lifestyle meant the drug boss had made enemies so suspicions did not fall on Coleen after three men ambushed the father-of-two in his home and subjected him to torture before killing him.

Thomas suffered 61 separate injuries, including being stabbed and having boiling hot water poured on his bottom. The mobster was also robbed of cash and drugs in the attack.

Coleen was later caught out and is now saving a 13-year sentence for helping orchestrate her ex’s murder. With eyes on Thomas’ criminal foes and Coleen playing the “perfect” grieving widow, her cover was unravelled by a clairvoyant.

The crime wife posted tributes to her ex on Facebook, saying: “13 years and 2 beautiful children. Forever grateful. I would do anything to hear your giddy laugh or your none [sic] stop moaning just one more time.” Coleen even helped to organise an in-person memorial to Thomas through a ceremonial balloon release.

Despite her performative acts after his shocking death, his furious ex helped lead to his death by sharing Thomas’ location despite knowing he would be robbed and “violence would be necessary”.

Four days after he was killed at his home, Coleen started to giveaway her crime when she visited a psychic. Coleen claimed the clairvoyant summoned his spirit and it shared details of his brutal murder and the injuries he sustained.

The ex shared these details with Thomas’ already suspicious mother – who notified the police. Coleen became a suspect as few details about Thomas’ murder had been shared publicly, so questions were raised as to how the ex would have known so much.

Police captured CCTV footage of Coleen on the phone to the killers , sharing details of Thomas’ whereabouts. Texts from Coleen to her pals after the messy split in 2021 appeared to shed light on some of her future movements.

She wrote: “Never let the actions of a man that cannot be loyal to his own family and a woman with no morals and has to sleep with other women’s husbands, change and provoke you. Karma is best served cold – and then tables turn real fast. I be the coldest MF you ever met.”

Coleen was found guilty of manslaughter after a five-week trial, Reece Steven was convicted of murder and jailed for life, Stephen Cleworth was found guilty of manslaughter and jailed for 12 years.

A third man, John Belfield, was also charged with murder and is awaiting trial.

Coleen was sent to the courts again for her role in a separate attack, just a week before her husband was killed, when she came to their aid of another woman who was battering her love rival with a hammer. The shocking moment was caught on CCTV camera in Ashton-under-Lyne on June 29, 2022, according to Manchester Evening News.
