Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson was spotted enjoying a sunny bike ride with a mystery woman after his ex, Zara McDermott, moved on with One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson. The radio star was pictured cycling with the blonde woman through London as they made their way to Richmond Park.
In pictures shared online, Sam and the woman stopped to take happy selfies before continuing on their journey. He hopped off the bike to get out his phone and leaned in towards the woman – still on the bike – to take a quick photo. Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend was spotted shopping in Beverly Hills a few hours away from 1D singer Louis at Coachella.
Sam and Zara date for five years, with the two even living together and sharing pets, before they called it quits in December.
Not long after, she was spotted enjoying a romantic date with Louis, 33, at a hotel restaurant. During their date night, Zara and Louis are said to have chosen to dine on £100 fish and chips, while sipping on cocktails to wash the seafront classic down. Onlookers said that they seemed “every bit the happy couple.”
Sources close to the couple have revealed that Zara was eager to “dip her toe into the water again,” following her split from Sam earlier this year. A friend said: “It’s been a low-key but fun two weeks,” and the Don’t Let It Break Your Heart hitmaker is “clearly making her smile.”
Sam, 32, who last month admitted he wasn’t ready to date anyone, is yet to comment directly on Zara’s new relationship with the Holding onto Heartache star.
Sam only recently shared his delight at reuniting with the cats he shares with Love Island star Zara while she enjoyed a holiday with Louis. Smiling into Albus’ eyes as he held the huge ball of fluff affectionately, he wrote: “Back with my number one” with a heart emoji. He then shared a video of himself with his sister, Louise Thompson, teasing: “And my number two…she’s missed me,” followed by three laughing emojis.
It comes after Sam recently told his followers he would be “back with my kids soon” as he shared a throwback photo of himself and his cats. Albus and Cedric, with a huge smile on his face.
Meanwhile, Zara seemingly ‘soft launched’ her relationship with Louis by posting a cheeky Instagram photo of a date in Malibu after weeks of speculation on their romance.
In the photo posted to her social media page, Zara shared her food and the food of the person she was with. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Louis’ tattoo was visible in the snap, soft-launching their relationship.
Days before she shared the subtle post, fans were over the moon when they spotted Louis ‘liking’ one of her Instagram posts barely five minutes after she posted it.
One fan even pointed out the Louis’ sisters had also shown the post some love. “Louis, Phoebe and Lottie liked it!!,” they exclaimed.
