The sleepless nights have clearly hit Mark Wright as he went about his day before heading to work at Heart Radio. Just four weeks ago, the former The Only Way Is Essex star and his wife, former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan revealed that they had welcomed their first child, daughter Palma.

It appears that having such a young child has taken its toll on Mark, 38, looked completely shattered as he navigated central London while keeping a casual appearance. The reality star turned broadcaster opted for a black track suit which he paired with white and green trainers on his day out.

Despite the rising temperatures, Mark chose a hoodie for his wardrobe choice as he put the hood up while engaging in a phone call before heading to the Global studios in Leicester Square. The dad-of-one looked very fresh faced but had puffy red eyes, hinting that he and Michelle might not be getting their full eight hours of sleep each night.

Since welcoming their daughter, the family of three have kept a relatively low profile and have only shared a few glimpses into their new life. Earlier this month, the family headed off for a much needed break at the swanky Soho House Farmhouse in the Cotswolds.

Both Mark and Michelle looked relaxed as they shared a snap into their relaxing getaway at the private members club, where photographing other guests is strictly prohibited.

Although Michelle hasn’t spoken about welcoming their daughter, Mark was unable to not gush about the new chapter in his life during a discussion on Heart FM. He said to his co-presenter and fellow new dad, Olly Murs: “Mate, it’s hard to even put into words. This is the biggest achievement of my life – it’s all I think about.

“Every morning I wake up so excited just to see her face. That moment I held her for the first time… it gets me emotional just thinking about it. Everything else fades away, and you realise what truly matters in life.” He praised Michelle for the strength she showed while giving birth to their little daughter, describing her as a “superhero”.

Mark said: “And it makes you realise, like what our mums did for us, and makes me have so much more respect than I already had and what women have to go through. But other than that, it’s the best feeling in the world. I wake up every morning just so excited to see her face. Every time I wake up, I’m like, ‘oh, she’s there’, and that moment when I held her in my arms, I mean, it gets me emotional now thinking about it.

“But it’s just, I suppose, everything else goes out the window, and it’s made me realise what life is all about. And my little baby, Palma, I love you so much, I can’t wait to spend my life with you.” It was during the same conversation that Mark revealed he hadn’t been warned about the sleepless nights he now faces due to Palma waking up throughout the night.

The comment came after they read a message from a listener who found sorting through clothes “exhausting.” Mark playfully remarked: “Lisa, I’ve got to address what you just said about being tired from sorting clothes—don’t even talk to me about being tired right now.”

He went on to add: “Because Palma, my little one, is keeping me beyond tired. I walked in this morning, and Olly goes, ‘You look wiped out.'” Olly laughed and pointed out the change in Mark’s appearance, saying it was the first time he’d noticed little bags under his eyes, joking that it’s a “dad thing” that comes with parenthood.

Olly, who found fame on X Factor said: “You know what, it’s your eyes, it is the first time I’ve seen these little bags in all the years I’ve known you, just here, and it is a dad thing, it is a parent thing, all of a sudden you get these little bags under your eyes.” To which Mark responded: “Yeah, they say dad bod don’t they, they never warn you about dad eyes.”

But despite the struggles, Mark emotionally revealed that welcoming Palma is one of his greatest achievements. He said on ahead of Mother’s Day: “It’s actually hard to put it into words, I’ll start by saying it’s the biggest achievement of my life. It’s all I think about, but obviously, hat goes off to my wife, she’s an absolute superhuman superhero for bringing this baby into the world.
