A travel industry expert predicts that Ibiza resorts will soon surpass Benidorm as the preferred destination for British hen and stag parties. Known as “The Stag Man,” Frank commends the Spanish island for its vibrant nightlife and affordability, hinting at a shift in tourist preferences away from Benidorm, a long-standing favorite among his clientele.

Hailing from Tottenham, north London, the seasoned travel professional asserts that Ibiza is poised to reclaim its top spot on the party map. Frank emphasizes the evolving landscape of holiday destinations, aiming to revitalize Ibiza’s appeal for stag and hen groups and pose a challenge to Benidorm’s dominance.

British holidaymakers have been a significant market for Benidorm, drawing over 832,000 visitors to Costa Blanca in 2023. However, concerns about safety and crime incidents have led some tourists to explore alternative options like Ibiza, which saw a surge in tourism in 2022, particularly for its thriving nightlife scene.

Frank anticipates a resurgence in Ibiza’s popularity post-pandemic, highlighting the island’s competitive pricing compared to Benidorm. He notes a decline in customer-centric strategies in Benidorm, attributing it to the rise in criminal activities impacting the resort’s reputation and visitor numbers.

Despite his focus on Ibiza’s growth, Frank plans to maintain his business operations in Benidorm, including bars, travel agencies, and restaurants catering to British holidaymakers. While Ibiza is renowned for its club scene, recent efforts have been made to promote family-friendly vacations on the island, diversifying its appeal beyond the party atmosphere.
