Sky customers in the UK are in for a treat as they can now enjoy the newly launched HBO Max service for free. Subscribers with the Sky Ultimate TV package can access a variety of popular titles like Game of Thrones, Friends, Dune, Succession, and Young Sheldon without any additional charges, saving over £50. This service, which was previously available in the USA, offers a wide selection of HBO dramas and Warner Bros. films.

To start streaming HBO Max content, Sky customers with the appropriate packages can simply activate the service by launching the HBO Max app from their homepage. Those not on the Sky Ultimate TV plan can switch to it for a starting price of £22 per month, which will increase to £24 from April 1st. This package includes over 130 Sky channels, along with Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and the upcoming Hayu service.

Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, expressed excitement about the integration of Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu into a single subscription, providing a comprehensive entertainment experience. NOW Entertainment customers will also have access to HBO Max through the NOW app at no extra cost.

For non-Sky subscribers, HBO Max can be directly subscribed to via their website, with Standard with Ads plans beginning at £5.99. This move is part of Sky’s initiative to enhance the entertainment offerings and provide a seamless viewing experience for its customers.
