Prince William has faced a restriction after settling into his permanent residence with Kate and their children. The 43-year-old Prince of Wales has been forbidden from using his electric scooter to travel around the grounds of their new home, Forest Lodge. Previously, William was frequently seen riding his e-scooter at Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Castle Estate, spanning a vast 4,800-acre area. However, due to strict regulations in Windsor Great Park, where Forest Lodge is situated, motorized transport, including e-scooters, is prohibited, with only cyclists, residents, and estate workers allowed on the roads.

A source disclosed that William is willing to comply with the ban on e-scooters in Windsor Great Park, despite his previous enjoyment of using them at the castle. Notably, two years ago, a tourist captured William riding his e-scooter on the gravel at Windsor, and he even greeted actor Eugene Levy at the castle using his preferred mode of transportation. Levy, in his docuseries The Reluctant Traveller, expressed surprise at William’s choice of transport, to which William responded positively about the convenience and enjoyment of using the e-scooter.

During a meeting with Levy at Windsor Castle, William mentioned that although King Charles and Queen Camilla often use the castle, he and his family reside nearby and utilize the castle for work and meetings. He humorously blamed his tardiness on a punctured tire from his e-scooter, causing him to travel slowly to the meeting spot.
