Sky is providing customers with a limited-time opportunity to upgrade their TV packages at no extra cost. Until October 16, those with the basic Essential TV package can enjoy 35 additional channels by switching to the more content-rich Sky Ultimate TV option. This includes access to premium channels like Sky Max, Sky Crime, Sky Documentaries, U&Gold, and Comedy Central.

According to Sky, the upgrade offers a range of popular shows across various genres, such as the final series of Brassic and BAFTA-winning Mr Bigstuff on Sky Max, as well as favorites like Sky Crime, Sky Documentaries, U&Gold, and Comedy Central. Additionally, viewers can enjoy new programs like The Paper on Sky Max, The Office on Sky Comedy, and series like FBI and Fire Country on Sky Witness.

Customers subscribed to Sky’s Essential TV bundle will automatically receive the upgrade without any action required. If satisfied with the additional channels, they can choose to upgrade to Sky Ultimate TV for just an extra £3 per month.

In a similar move, Virgin Media is also offering complimentary access to channels like Sky Kids, Cartoon Network, and Baby TV throughout October. This includes popular shows such as Pip and Posy’s Spooktacular Party on Sky Kids, The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball on Cartoon Network, SpongeBob SquarePants on Nickelodeon, and Peppa Pig. Virgin Media has introduced this promotion in time for the October half-term break.
