All individuals onboard the bus were confirmed to be Polish citizens, as stated by Maciej Wewiór, a spokesperson for the Polish Foreign Ministry. The passengers were returning from a pilgrimage in Bosnia-Herzegovina, as announced by the regional government in Rzeszow, Poland.
