Tennis legend Bjorn Borg has revealed his battle with prostate cancer in his upcoming memoir, “Heartbeat,” set to be published on September 18. The book, co-written with his wife Patricia, will unveil Borg’s private struggle with the illness that he had kept confidential until now.

Scheduled for release in various countries including the USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Latin America, the Netherlands, and Italy, the book’s launch has been kept under wraps. Reports suggest that the media will not receive advanced copies for review, and Borg intends to limit his promotional interviews.

Although the book was prematurely available in Italy on online platforms like Amazon, Borg’s cancer revelation has garnered public attention. Known for his dominance in tennis during the 1970s with five Wimbledon titles and six French Open victories, Borg is celebrated as one of the most stylish and influential players in the sport’s history.

Gunilla Bergmark of Norstedts, the book’s publisher, expressed the significance of sharing Borg’s story, emphasizing Patricia’s role in narrating it. The memoir has been highly anticipated by many, highlighting Borg’s unique perspective on his life and career.
