Thousands of students are set to receive their A-level results today, with opportunities to claim various freebies regardless of the outcome. To avail of these deals, students typically need to present their results paper along with their student ID. Most offers are applicable for dine-in or takeaway orders only, excluding third-party delivery services. It’s advisable to check with individual restaurants to confirm if they are still honoring A-level results promotions before placing an order.

A separate qualification system operates in Scotland, where students received their results the previous week. In England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, A-level and AS results were released on August 14, while GCSE results are scheduled for August 21. Last year, the UK saw a slight increase in A or A* grades awarded in A-level entries.

In addition to A-level results, many students will be receiving vocational technical qualifications (VTQs) this month. Results for Level 3 VTQs, such as BTecs, are due on or before August 14, while Level 2 VTQ results are expected by August 21.

Various eateries are offering special deals on A-level results day, including a 1/4 chicken or starter at Nando’s, free pizzas at Frankie & Benny’s, churros at Las Iguanas, and complimentary desserts at Bella Italia and Bill’s. Other freebies include a matcha latte at Bird & Blend, a burger from the Proper Burger menu, and vouchers at Côte Brasserie. Pizza Express is offering free dough balls, while Zizzi is providing a range of complimentary items, such as Mozzarella and Garlic Bombes, starters, desserts, drinks, or even a meal valued at up to £150.
