Sky TV customers are in for a change starting April 30 as the telecoms and TV company has announced a revamp of its Cinema channel lineup. Sky Cinema Animation, previously on channel 312, has now merged with Sky Cinema Family, consolidating family-friendly films on channel 304. This change aims to simplify content organization without removing any movies. Favorites like Shrek, The Secret Life of Pets, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will still be available on the unified channel.
While the consolidation may seem like a loss of variety, Sky assures that all content from Sky Cinema Animation will be accessible through Sky Cinema Family. Additionally, Sky plans to bring back Sky Cinema Animation temporarily during school holidays, offering entertainment for kids when they are not in school. This move aims to enhance the viewing experience for families and maintain access to beloved films.
