JD Vance criticized a woman involved in a shooting incident, accusing her of being brainwashed and radicalized. The incident occurred in Minneapolis, where a 37-year-old mother, Renee Good, was fatally shot by an ICE agent. Vance, the US Vice President, suggested that Good intentionally tried to run over the agent, leading to her own tragic death.
Former President Donald Trump also commented on the situation, claiming the agent had been injured in the incident and sought medical treatment. Despite conflicting accounts, Vance maintained his stance, alleging that Good was part of a radical left group obstructing ICE operations targeting noncitizens for deportation.
He further asserted that Good was a victim of left-wing ideology and had been influenced by radical beliefs. Contrary to reports indicating Good was driving away from the agent when the shooting occurred, Vance insisted she accelerated towards him. He criticized the media for not highlighting that the agent had been struck by cars in the past, though this claim could not be verified as the agent remained unnamed.
Vance defended his position, stating that video evidence supported his version of events. He emphasized the need to acknowledge the agent’s actions and suggested that Good’s behavior was questionable. Despite questions about his conclusions, Vance remained firm in his stance, claiming Good’s actions were not innocent and praising the agent for his actions.
When asked about the alleged network that influenced Good, Vance mentioned it as an aspect requiring further investigation. Additionally, the Homeland Security Secretary stated that the FBI, under the leadership of Kash Patel, would lead the inquiry into the shooting, excluding local law enforcement due to jurisdictional issues.
