Donald Trump has yet to secure a Nobel Peace Prize, but FIFA has acknowledged his ability to negotiate peace talks to avoid tariff threats. FIFA, known for football governance, created a peace award to honor Trump. This move resembles the creation of the “Global Success” award by the Brits in 2013 for One Direction, albeit with more controversy.

The “award” will be presented to Trump during the World Cup draw at the Kennedy Centre in Washington DC later today.

In a lavish event at the Kennedy Centre, Trump received a gold trophy as the first recipient of the FIFA Peace Prize. The ceremony featured performances by Robbie Williams and Nicole Scherzinger, with Robbie casually singing with his hand in his pocket. FIFA President Gianni Infantino presented the trophy to Trump, praising his actions and awarding him a special medal.

During the event, Infantino humorously declared the peace prize an “annual” award.

Trump sparked controversy by suggesting renaming American Football due to the ongoing conflicts with soccer. He emphasized the need for a distinct name for NFL-related activities.

In his remarks, Trump expressed gratitude for the honor of receiving the made-up prize, citing his efforts in preventing conflicts and fostering international relations. He highlighted his administration’s achievements in global peace initiatives.

Trump and Infantino share a close relationship, with Infantino known for his admiration and flattery towards Trump. Their camaraderie was evident during the ceremony, where Infantino presented Trump with accolades and praised his contributions to peace efforts.

In other news, the Homeland Security secretary announced an expansion of the travel ban from 19 to over 30 countries. The decision aims to enhance national security by evaluating countries’ stability and ability to cooperate in vetting individuals seeking entry into the US.

During a speech at the White House Christmas tree lighting event, Trump lamented about the election and highlighted his administration’s accomplishments in global peace initiatives. He claimed to have mediated conflicts between Rwanda and Congo, promoting peace and resource access agreements.

Despite Trump’s claims, there are doubts about the effectiveness of the peace agreements in the region as reported by the New York Times. The event also featured the presence of legendary Ice Hockey player Wayne Gretzky and members of the Beach Boys.

UPDATE: Gretzky’s attendance at the tree-lighting event was related to the World Cup Draw.
