A man has been arrested and charged with four counts of first-degree murder after allegedly killing his four children and concealing their bodies at his residence in North Carolina. Wellington Delano Dickens III, aged 38, informed the police that he did not torture his children but admitted to “over-punishing” them. The investigation uncovered disturbing details, revealing that the father left the bodies of his deceased children to decompose in his car.

Additionally, authorities accused Dickens of inviting individuals he met on the Grindr dating app to his home after the alleged killings. It was disclosed that Dickens purchased body bags from Amazon, placed his children’s bodies in them, and stored the remains in the trunk of his car, as per search warrants released by WBTV.

During the search of Dickens’ home, law enforcement found two phones. While one of the devices did not have the Grindr app installed, messages between Dickens and individuals he met on the app were discovered on the other phone. It was reported that Dickens hosted several of these individuals at his residence following the deaths of his children.

According to police reports, Dickens contacted emergency services to report the deaths of his four children. He claimed that one-month-old baby boy died due to illness, and although he allegedly buried the infant on the property, no body was found. Dickens also confessed that a five-year-old girl passed away two months before he called 911, and he disciplined her nine-year-old sister, leading to her demise.

Furthermore, Dickens stated that a 10-year-old boy and his 18-year-old stepson died from suspected malnutrition. Authorities rescued a three-year-old child unharmed during the search of the home. Prosecutors announced their intention to seek the death penalty for Dickens if he is convicted.

It was reported that Dickens’ wife, Stephanie Jones, passed away following a miscarriage. Neighbors expressed shock over the tragic events, with one stating that the sheriff’s office had not fully disclosed all the details surrounding the incident.
