A tragic road accident resulted in the loss of four lives and left five individuals injured following a major collision that occurred in the early morning hours.
Images from the scene depicted the aftermath of the incident, which involved two vehicles on a serene residential street. The crash, believed to have involved a car and a taxi, took place at approximately 12:45 am in Deane, Bolton. The front of a Citroen C4 Picasso was severely damaged, with distressing pictures showing the crushed bodywork and the right doors of the car torn off.
The Citroen collided with a red Seat Leon, causing damage to the bumper and tearing apart the right side of the vehicle. Photographs captured a significant presence of police and emergency services at the scene, with the area being cordoned off.
According to Greater Manchester Police, two 18-year-old men and a 19-year-old man lost their lives in the Seat car. Additionally, the driver of the Citroen, a man in his 50s, also tragically passed away.
A police spokesperson stated, “Five injured passengers have been transported to the hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing, and a police presence remains at the scene.”
Authorities are appealing for witnesses or individuals with relevant information, including those who observed the vehicles before the collision or have dashcam/CCTV footage of the incident, to come forward and assist with the investigation.
The devastating collision resulted in extensive damage to the black Citroen C4 Picasso, and the driver of the vehicle, a man in his 50s, lost his life in the tragic accident.
Following the incident, Greater Manchester Police initiated an inquiry and requested the public to provide any dashcam or CCTV footage they may have. The driver of the black car was pronounced dead at the scene of the horrific crash, prompting a swift response from emergency services to secure the area.
