A tennis enthusiast who gained online fame for supporting Emma Raducanu has been ejected from the Australian Open for disruptive behavior. James Bray, known for his vocal encouragement and distinctive attire, caught the attention of Raducanu during her recent match.

Despite being singled out by Raducanu as a supportive fan and receiving an invitation to attend future matches, Bray’s enthusiasm led to his expulsion from the Rod Laver Arena. The incident, involving police intervention and a fine, was shared by Bray on social media.

Following his removal from the tournament grounds, Bray expressed his disappointment at being penalized for what he perceived as regular fan behavior. Tennis Australia confirmed that Bray had received warnings prior to his removal, citing disruptive conduct as the reason.

Victoria Police reported several evictions from the tennis precinct for various incidents, emphasizing the overall positive crowd behavior at the event. The authorities expressed satisfaction with the conduct of attendees and anticipated a successful remainder of the Australian Open.
