Alan Warriner has criticized ITV for allegedly removing him from their darts coverage team without informing him, despite him already announcing his departure. The former darts player claims he found out about being dropped after twenty years with the broadcaster when PDC unveiled ITV’s 2026 coverage team on social media. The new lineup includes Pete Graves and Gabbie Partington as presenters, along with Mark Webster and Wayne Mardle as pundits, but Warriner’s name was notably absent.

In response, Warriner expressed his disappointment with ITV for not informing him after his long service with the network. A darts fan pointed out that Warriner had previously bid farewell to ITV in a post from November 2025. In the post, Warriner thanked ITV for 18 years of collaboration in a sport he loves.

ITV recently secured a three-year deal with PDC, guaranteeing free-to-air coverage of major darts tournaments until at least 2028. The agreement includes broadcasting events like the World Masters, UK Open, Players Championship Finals, and World Series of Darts international events. The coverage team will feature commentators Mark Wilson and Dan Dawson, with Glen Durrant providing expert analysis.

Pete Graves and Glen Durrant expressed their excitement about joining the ITV team for darts coverage, with Graves set to present the World Masters and Durrant looking forward to the Minehead UK Open.
