A tragic incident unfolded in Pakistan as a gas cylinder explosion resulted in the loss of at least eight lives, including the newlywed couple, during a wedding reception in Islamabad. The explosion occurred at a residence, causing a section of the building to collapse and leaving seven others injured. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the cause of the explosion, which took place in a residential area in the city center.
Deputy Commissioner General Sahibzada Yousaf confirmed the completion of the rescue operation, ensuring that no individuals were trapped under the debris. Search teams, aided by sniffer dogs, meticulously combed the area to recover all victims. Yousaf noted that three houses were completely destroyed, with a fourth sustaining partial damage, while neighboring structures were also being inspected for safety measures.
