Apple has revealed its latest lineup of iPhones. The company showcased the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air during a live event from its California headquarters on September 9.
Pre-orders for the new models will begin at 1pm on September 12, with availability starting on September 19. Various retailers such as Sky Mobile, EE, Mobiles.co.uk, Vodafone, and Three have confirmed that they will carry the devices, although prices are yet to be disclosed.
Customers will have the option to purchase the new iPhones directly from Apple and Amazon starting September 12. The iPhone Air, being promoted as the thinnest iPhone to date, has caught the attention of many enthusiasts. The device, priced at £999 or £41.62 per month, will be available for pre-order, with additional retailer pricing details to follow.
The iPhone Air weighs 165g and boasts a slim 5.1mm thickness, marking Apple’s first entry in the ‘Air’ range for smartphones. Constructed with a Grade 5 titanium frame made from 80% recycled titanium, the device is described as both durable and elegant.
Featuring a 6.5″ Super Retina XDR display with a Ceramic Shield for enhanced durability, the iPhone Air is said to be four times more crack-resistant and offer three times better scratch resistance than its predecessor. Equipped with the latest A19 Pro chip, it promises top-notch performance for demanding tasks.
Buyers of the iPhone Air will receive a free seven-day trial of Apple TV+ to enjoy popular shows like Severance, Ted Lasso, and Slow Horses. Improved battery life allows for up to 27 hours of video playback on a single charge, with quick charging capabilities.
The device’s camera system includes a 48MP Fusion setup for high-resolution images and an 8MP Centre Stage front camera. Running on iOS 26 out of the box, the iPhone Air introduces features like liquid glass design and advanced AI capabilities for enhanced user experience.
Available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options, the iPhone Air comes in four stylish colors: Sky Blue, Cloud White, Light Gold, and Space Black. With features like call screening, live translation, and visual intelligence, the iPhone Air aims to simplify user interactions and tasks.
