Apple has rolled out a significant update, iOS 26.2, for iPhone users worldwide. This latest version introduces more than 10 new features, including enhanced customization options for the interface, new reminder alarms, and a revamped AirDrop function that now incorporates a code-based security measure before transferring files wirelessly.
Among the key changes in iOS 26.2 are updates to Apple Music, allowing offline access to song lyrics, and automatic chapter generation in the Podcasts section for easier episode navigation. Gaming features have also been upgraded to support connected controllers like Backbone and Razer.
To update to iOS 26.2, iPhone users can simply navigate to Settings, then General, and select Software Update. The update, weighing in at a substantial 12GB, can then be installed with a tap. It is essential to have an internet connection before initiating the download.
