Apple has rolled out its latest iOS update, version 26.1, for iPhone users. This update introduces nine significant changes. Users can download the update by navigating to General > Settings > Software Update. One key feature of iOS 26.1 is the customizable Liquid Glass appearance for apps and menus, allowing users to choose between a clear or tinted look.
In addition to the Liquid Glass option, the update includes enhancements such as expanded language support for Live Translation on AirPods, a new Camera setting for Lock Screen swipe control, and improved FaceTime audio quality in low-bandwidth scenarios. The release also includes bug fixes and security improvements.
Due to the update’s size of over 14GB, it is advisable to download iOS 26.1 while connected to Wi-Fi. The full list of changes from Apple includes the Liquid Glass setting, Live Translation support for additional languages, Apple Music enhancements, new Camera settings, and more.
iOS 26.1 is compatible with a range of iPhone models, including iPhone 11, iPhone 12 series, iPhone 13 series, iPhone 14 series, iPhone 15 series, iPhone 16 series, iPhone 16e, iPhone 17 series, iPhone Air, iPhone SE (2nd generation), and iPhone SE (3rd generation).
