Apple has unveiled a new software update designed to support users in unleashing their creative potential. The tech giant from the US has introduced a fresh platform named Creative Studio, granting MacBook and iPad owners access to premium software at a more budget-friendly monthly rate.

This service provides full access to professional applications like Final Cut Pro for video editing, Logic Pro for music creation, and Pixelmator Pro as an Adobe Photoshop alternative.

Upon its upcoming launch, Apple users will be able to subscribe for £12.99 per month or £129 per year, a compelling offer considering the comprehensive software bundle included in the plan.

Individually, Final Cut Pro costs £300 on the App Store, while Logic Pro carries a price tag of £200.

By transitioning to a subscription model for this software, Apple aims to democratize its accessibility.

Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, expressed, “Apple Creator Studio is a valuable opportunity for creators of all kinds to hone their craft and enhance their skills by providing easy access to robust and intuitive tools for video editing, music production, creative design, and visual productivity, enhanced with advanced intelligent features to streamline workflows.”

In addition to Creative Studio, Apple is introducing extras such as MainStage, which transforms Mac devices into instruments, voice processors, or guitar rigs.

Another notable addition is Motion, a potent graphics tool for crafting cinematic 2D and 3D effects, featuring intelligent functions like Magnetic Mask for effortless isolation and tracking of subjects without a green screen.

Subscribers will also receive enhanced features and premium content updates for Keynote, Pages, Numbers apps, along with Freeform for iPhone, iPad, and Mac later in the year.

While Keynote, Pages, and Numbers will remain free, they will be enriched for Creative Studio subscribers.

Cue further stated, “There has never been a more flexible and accessible way to access such a powerful suite of creative apps, catering to professionals, budding artists, entrepreneurs, students, and educators to excel in their work and explore their creative passions from inception to completion.”

Apple Creator Studio will be accessible on the App Store starting on Wednesday, January 28, with a one-month free trial for all users. Additionally, purchasers of MacBook or iPad devices will enjoy a three-month trial.

Apple has also confirmed discounted rates for university students, offering the software bundle at just £2.99 per month or £29.99 per year.
