Two individuals were killed instantly in a tragic accident involving the SUV carrying Anthony Joshua, as per eyewitnesses. The British boxer sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital in Nigeria. The incident occurred when Joshua’s vehicle, accompanied by security personnel, collided with a stationary truck near Makun on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun state.

Reports indicate that the crash resulted from a burst tire that caused Joshua’s vehicle to swerve and lose control. Local authorities, including the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, are investigating the incident. Eyewitness Adeniyi Orojo recounted the crash involving a two-vehicle convoy, with Joshua positioned behind the driver in a Lexus SUV. Tragically, two occupants in the vehicle lost their lives at the scene.

Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, confirmed that Joshua was safe and en route to the hospital following the accident. Joshua, who was in Nigeria visiting his parents’ homeland, recently defeated Jake Paul in a match. The victory marked a significant moment for Joshua, who hinted at future plans and reignited his rivalry with Tyson Fury in his post-fight comments.

As Joshua continues to make headlines in the boxing world, fans eagerly await his upcoming endeavors in the sport.
