Anthony Joshua is fully focused on his upcoming bout with Jake Paul, having made the trip to Miami in advance to acclimate to the time zone. The former two-time unified heavyweight champion has been out of action since his knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024 at Wembley Stadium. After recovering from an elbow injury and undergoing surgery, Joshua is now back in training and ready for his return to the ring.

The announcement of Joshua facing Paul took many by surprise, with the showdown set to take place in Miami, Florida on December 19. The fight, scheduled for eight three-minute rounds with both fighters using 10oz gloves, has generated significant interest.

Although Joshua is expected to have the upper hand against the YouTuber-turned-boxer, he is not underestimating his opponent. Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed that Joshua is in Miami and looking sharp as he prepares for the highly anticipated match.

The heavyweight clash between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul is scheduled to be live-streamed on Netflix on December 19. Fans can access the fight for free with Sky’s £15 Essential TV bundle, which is being promoted as the lowest price ever for Sky TV.

Hearn revealed that Joshua has been instructed not to exceed 245lb for the fight against Paul. Despite initial concerns about his weight, it appears that Joshua is on track to meet the required limit without major issues.

During negotiations, Hearn admitted to providing misleading information about Joshua’s weight to gain a competitive advantage. The fight is expected to take place just days before Christmas, with the fighters likely to enter the ring around 11 pm local time, catering to the American audience. The event’s timing may be adjusted based on the undercard’s duration, and the live broadcast will be available on Netflix.
