Amazon has unveiled two new e-readers featuring color displays, offering a refreshing change from the traditional black and white e-ink screens. These new additions, alongside the existing Colorsoft Signature Edition Kindle, provide users with vibrant screen options.
The first device in the updated lineup, the Kindle Colorsoft, boasts 16GB of storage, fast page turns, an adjustable warm light, long battery life lasting weeks, and full access to the Kindle bookstore. While not as feature-rich as the Signature Edition, the Colorsoft Kindle comes at a slightly lower price point.
Priced at £239.99, the standard Colorsoft Kindle is more affordable compared to the Signature version priced at £269.99. Customers can enjoy a 20% discount by trading in their old device and receive three months of free Kindle Unlimited with their Colorsoft purchase.
In addition to the new Kindle models, Amazon is introducing the Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Kids priced at £259. This kid-friendly version includes 12 months of Amazon Kids+, a protective cover, and a 2-year worry-free guarantee. Amazon Kids+ offers a wide selection of books and audiobooks for young readers at no extra cost with this Kindle.
The Colorsoft Kids model features a colorful display, water-resistant design, and a built-in light for nighttime reading. Amazon aims to encourage young readers with the engaging color display, hoping to increase reading time among children.
Both the Kindle Colorsoft and Colorsoft Kids are now available for purchase on Amazon and through various UK retailers.
