A tragic incident unfolded in north-eastern Thailand as a construction crane fell onto a passenger train in a fiery derailment, claiming the lives of at least 29 individuals. The accident, which also left 64 people injured, occurred on a section of a high-speed rail project intended to link China with parts of south-east Asia.
The crane, utilized in the construction of an elevated railway segment, collapsed as the train was en route from Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani province.
