Samsung has issued a crucial update for Galaxy phone users to address a series of vulnerabilities, including a ‘critical’ glitch that hackers are exploiting. The update fixes over 11 issues on these devices. One of the vulnerabilities allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code, posing a severe security risk.

In the update notes, Samsung emphasized the severity of the issue, stating that an exploit for the vulnerability is already circulating. Exploiting this vulnerability could enable cybercriminals to install malware or gain unauthorized access to the device, potentially leading to data theft and privacy breaches.

To mitigate the risk, Samsung has promptly released the patch, urging Galaxy owners to install it immediately. Cybersecurity experts, such as Jamie Akhtar, CEO and Co-founder at CyberSmart, highlighted the importance of addressing such vulnerabilities promptly to prevent malicious attacks on devices and data breaches.

The affected Galaxy models that receive monthly updates include Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Z Flip4, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, Galaxy S21 FE 5G, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Edge, and Galaxy A56 5G.

To update your Samsung Galaxy phone, navigate to Settings, then select Software update, and proceed with the Download and install option. Ensure your device has sufficient battery before initiating the update process.
